DOBSZAY, P\u00e9ter is a Junior Prima Award-winning conductor and organist, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra, the first organist of the Church of the Holy Angels of Gazdagr\u00e9t and the Synagogue of Doh\u00e1ny Street, and is a lecturer at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.<\/p>\n

He gives concerts worldwide, has conducted in Japan, Russia, Germany and Romania, and gave organ recitals in Israel, Switzerland, Austria and Macedonia. He is the returning guest conductor of almost all professional symphony orchestras in Hungary. He was a finalist and audience award winner of the 2017 Maestro Solti International Conducting Competition.<\/p>\n

DOBRI, D\u00e1niel (1991) composer, resident composer and contemporary (musical) artistic director of the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra. He obtained his master’s degree in composition at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Gyula Fekete’s class in 2020, and then he was admitted to the Doctoral School of the University of Theatre and Film Arts. He composed the music of more than 60 stage works, contributed to performances of most of Hungary’s major theatres, and many of his concert pieces were performed with excellent ensembles in Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Germany and Romania. Since 2012 he has been the permanent composer and music director of the V\u00f6r\u00f6smarty Theatre in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r, and since 2020 he has been a lecturer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts. He is the winner of national and international scholarships, guest participant of prestigious festivals. In the autumn of 2020, he won the 3rd prize at the Competition of the New Hungarian Music Forum (UMZF) with his orchestral work PentaTones for Orchestra.<\/p>\n

Janos Acs, the world famous conductor who was born in Hungary, debuted in Genoa in 1979. His first concert in the USA was at the Opera Colorado in Denver in 1987, where he was principal conductor for seven years later on. He often works with the opera houses in Rome, Florence and Venice. His repertoire includes more than 150 operas and orchestral works.<\/p>\n

He is an outstanding expert of the traditions of Italian opera performances. During his career until now he has conducted all the operas of Bellini and Puccini, and the greatest works of Verdi. He has worked together with such great singers of our age as Luciano Pavarotti, Samuel Ramey, Raina Kabaivanska and Giuseppe Giacomini. For years he was the permanent conductor of the concerts of the \u201cThree Tenors\u201d.<\/p>\n

He began his musical studies at the State Music School in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r, then continued his studies at the Secondary School of Music in Veszpr\u00e9m and in the Faculty of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Gy\u0151r. In 1993 he obtained his diploma “Violin Teacher and Chamber Artist”. Between 1995 and 2000 he studied musicology at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and in 2000 he received his diploma as a “Musicologist and Music Literature Teacher”. He submitted his doctoral thesis entitled “Form and Meaning in Bart\u00f3k’s Violin Sonatas” in 2015, and after successfully defending it, he obtained a doctorate in musicology. Since 1993 he has been a teacher of violin and then music history at the Hermann L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Secondary School of Music in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r and AMI. He is the founder and artistic director of the Musica Bella String Orchestra of the institution. His pedagogical activities were recognized by the Board of Trustees of the “Foundation for Music Education” with the Prize for Music Education in 2016. Since 2002 he has been a lecturer and associate professor at the Faculty of Arts of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University in Gy\u0151r.<\/p>\n

He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Musicology and Music Criticism and the Hungarian Society of Church Music, and a member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is the cantor of the Reformed Parish in Budai Street in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r. He is the music critic of the local newspaper \u2013 Fej\u00e9r megyei H\u00edrlap and the artistic director of the Sukoro Music Summer Festival. In January 2021, he was awarded the K\u00d3TA Prize for his work as a music writer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
